• Early Ambrotype, Tintype Images Include Two with Identities

    Two Sixth-Plate Ambrotypes and a diminutive (1 ¾ x 2 ½) tintype, each of women subjects. Single woman ambrotype is dated Jan. 8, 1859 on the back and the subject as Mrs. Carmen Oriol.  Tin type is identified as Nancy Hillers, taken at age 18.


    The two ambrotypes are missing the second portion of the frame.  Separation apparent on the image of the couple. Oxidation apparent on the image of the single woman.  Tintype has some scratches, including some on the face.
