There is only 1 item left in stock.

Two ALSs West Chester, CT, mother writes to her children on the verso of maps pulled from the Atlas. Letters are circa World War II. On the one map, she has sketched the attack on Mussolini in Italy. She writes, “England’s gun is trained at his brain which he has not?”

The letters contain mostly casual information, except for the post script of one in which she writes, “You know Mr. Spencer who always sings at the Church, he lost his daughter Thursday. She died after an illegal operation. Everybody is in a gloom at Cheshire about it…”

Nice home front style letters during one of America’s worst wars.

Folds. Toning. One rough top margin.
