The HALIFAX MEDICAL COLLEGE was established in 1867 as the Medical Department at Dalhousie College. In the early part of the 20th century, the HALIFAX MEDICAL COLLEGE was the subject of a publication stating that the college as well as others had been marked for “speedy demise.”  The author of the report, Abraham Flexner, lambasted the college, stating that it was “basely mercenary.”  The report called Halifax Medical’s laboratory “utterly wretched.” [Research included]
