16 3/4” x 16” intricately detailed sampler, stitched by Maryann Bennett, in near mint condition, with bright vivid colors. This work of art contains a very fine square border in green, embellished by an internal floral border and an array of well-placed and executed bird and floral motifs and verse: “When quiet in my house I sit, Thy book be my companion still, My Joy my sayings to repeat, Talk over the records of thy will, And search the oracles divine, Till every heart felt word be mine.”  One of the finest samplers we’ve ever offered. Small fray on two left corners, else extraordinary condition.
