STATE OF LOUISIANA $1, February 24, 1862.  Printed on the back of unissued notes for The Commercial and Agricultural Bank of Texas of Galveston. Text reads, “Receivable for all dues to the state of & for publication Twelve Months after a definitive Treaty of Peace between the Confederate States and the United States. 

Louisiana was taken by the U.S. Army on April 25, 1862. 

Very fine. One chip in lower right, not affecting text.
