Original soft-cover booklet, 9 pp, “Don’t Take A Chance,” dated 1918 and written by Charles Larned Robinson, published by the American Defense Society. The pamphlet serves as an instruction for soldiers on the wily ways of women in foreign lands, especially those who charge for services, and how to avoid them and sexually transmitted diseases. The booklet includes a message from President Theodore Roosevelt thanking the author for his fine work.

Light toning, but overall excellent and an unusual relic from the World War I era, approved by the War Department.
