Two-piece grouping relating to the Civil War, the first being a Provost Marshal’s Officer request, Plattsburgh, September 3rd, 1864, one page, 5 x 8, “Please furnish transportation from Plattsburgh to New York for thirteen persons,” signed by the Provost Marshal. Second item being a blank “Report of soldiers remaining at Fort Columbus, New York Harbor...Awaiting transportation to their regiments.”
Provost Marshal’s request has small piece missing in the upper left, not affecting text.
